66 Love Letters is about a intimate conversation between God and the author. In this book,Dr Crabb takes each book of the Bible and reviews as if he is having a intimate conversation with God about what God wants the reader to learn from that book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not put it down.I didn't approach the book as a deep Bible study nor did I expect to really dig into God's Word.I approached the book as a well wrote piece of fiction and as such,it was not disappointing.
The book is easy to read and easy to understand.
"He taunts you with bills you can't pay,people you can't please,habits you can't break,failures you can't forget,and a future you can't face.But like David,you can face your giant,even if you aren't the strongest,the smartest,the best equipped, or the holiest."Max Lucado
Facing Your Giant is Max Lucado's book about David. It's about the giants he faced in his life and how he overcame them. It's also about every day Christians and the "giants" they face. The giants of addiction, the giants of debt, the giants of depression.By relying on God we can over come our giants.
Focus On Giants-You Stumble
Focus On God-Your Giants Tumble
The book is a fast read.I would recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with a giant in their life. The only thing I did not like about the book was the use of the New Century and Messenger Bibles.I just do not like those versions.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their BookSneeze.com
